Our commitment
We want every Australian to be able to use our calculators, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, consistent with the intent of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth).
What we have done
- All inputs have visible labels, and results are announced to screen readers when they change.
- Every control can be used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible gold focus outline.
- Text and interface colours meet WCAG AA contrast in both light and dark mode.
- Body text is at least 16px and pages work when zoomed to 200% and on small phone screens.
- Animation is minimal and switched off if you have set “reduce motion” on your device.
Known limitations
Some third-party content, such as advertisements and embedded government documents, may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. PDF reports generated by calculators may have limited screen reader support; the same figures are always shown on the page.
