1. Agreeing to these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of aufinancecalculators.com and all of its calculators, guides and content (the “Site”), operated by MAFHH INTERNATIONAL LTD (“we”, “us”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. What we provide

The Site provides free generic calculators and general educational content about Australian tax, property, superannuation, lending and personal finance. We may change, suspend or remove any calculator or content at any time.

3. General information only, not financial advice

Content and calculator results on the Site are general information only. They do not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs and are not financial product advice, credit assistance, tax advice or legal advice.

• We do not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and are not an authorised representative of a licensee.
• We do not hold an Australian Credit Licence and do not provide credit assistance, arrange loans or act as a mortgage broker.
• We are not a registered tax agent or BAS agent under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009.
• We are not a bank, authorised deposit-taking institution (ADI), lender, insurer, super fund or conveyancer.
• We do not receive commissions from lenders, brokers, insurers or product issuers for anything shown in our calculators.

You should consider whether any information is appropriate for you and obtain advice from a suitably licensed or registered professional before making a financial decision. Our Disclaimer forms part of these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
• copy, scrape, frame or republish our calculators, code or content at scale, or use automated tools to harvest content, without our written permission;
• attempt to interfere with the Site’s security, introduce malware, or place an unreasonable load on our servers;
• present our calculators or results as your own advice service, or as being endorsed by us.

You may link to any page, share calculator results for personal use and quote short extracts with a link back to the source.

5. Intellectual property

The Site’s content, calculator logic, source code, design and branding are owned by or licensed to MAFHH INTERNATIONAL LTD and are protected by the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and international law. Government rates and legislation we reference remain the property of their owners. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you.

6. Accuracy and updates

We take care to build calculators from official sources and review them at least every financial year. However, rates, thresholds and laws change, and calculators rely on assumptions and the figures you enter. Results are estimates and may differ from the amounts charged or assessed by government agencies, lenders or other parties. Always confirm figures with the relevant authority before relying on them.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition implied or imposed by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law, that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where our liability for breach of a non-excludable guarantee can be limited, it is limited (at our option) to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.

8. Limitation of liability

Subject to section 7 and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, savings or opportunity) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site, calculator results or linked websites. The Site is provided free of charge and “as available”.

9. Third-party links and advertising

The Site links to government and third-party websites and displays advertising, including ads served by Google. We do not control, endorse or take responsibility for third-party content, products or advertisements. Advertising does not influence calculator results. We do not receive referral fees from lenders, brokers or product issuers.

11. Governing law

MAFHH INTERNATIONAL LTD is a company registered in England and Wales, United Kingdom (company number 13215122). Our preferred contact method is email: [email protected]. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer in Australia, this choice of law does not take away any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other Australian laws that cannot be excluded, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your Australian state or territory. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when the law or our services change. We will give reasonable notice of any material change by posting it on this page at least 14 days before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law sooner. The updated version applies from the date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
